Andreas Dannenberg, Ad-comm Group CEO & President


Born in Munich, Germany in 1960, Mr. Andreas Dannenberg worked as a photographer for Time, Newsweek, and The New York Times after graduating from a German university and studying in the United States. He moved to Japan in 1984 and having mastered Japanese, began a two-year tenure at Dentsu. In 1987 he launched a marketing communications agency, Ad-comm-Group, an organization comprised of eight companies delivering advertising, public relations, web & mobile communications, event management and other related specialized marketing services, working with blue-chip clients such as Porsche, Club Med, Givenchy, Fujitsu and Mitsubishi Motors.Mr. Dannenberg has served as Chairman of the research group”Yokoso! Branding Japan”of the Japan Association of Corporate Executives (KEIZAI DOYUKAI), and as a member of the Japan Tourism Agency Working Group for Tourism Activities.
Mr. Dannenberg has developed a rich knowledge of world affairs and international global best practices having lived and traveled to more than 50 countries.
With a thorough understanding of the issues facing Japan, in this interview Mr. Dannenberg shares his view on the challenges of communicating Japan to the rest of the world from the perspective of a foreigner.
