Responses to the external management environment involve how management should understand an uncertain future, devise response measures, and change the company. Managerial succession to the next generation involves what managerial actions the current top management should take prior to handing the business to successors, besides transfer of stocks.
After discussing these two problems and their causes, measures that can be taken by leading small and medium-sized companies are explained for each problem. Lastly, concluding remarks are made regarding what procedure should be followed in order to solve the problems simultaneously.
