The State of the Activities of Biodiversity Collaboration Forum


Biodiversity Collaboration Forum is an informational and educational event jointly organized by Mitsubishi UFJ Research and Consulting, Museum of Nature and Human Activities, Hyogo and Natural History Museum Network of Western Japan. The Forum aims to promote biodiversity as a mainstream issue in the Kansai region. From 2011 to 2016, the Forum was held ten times in the Kansai region through cooperation among the three organizations, local governments, privatesector companies, and relevant associations. In total, about 70 experts and business people spoke at the Forum. More than 2,200 people participated in the Forum, and the organizers have maintained data obtained from the participants’ registration information and questionnaire surveys. This paper summarizes information on the lectures given at the Forum and reviews the activities of the Forum in terms of participant registration information and the results of the questionnaire surveys.
